Redpark Introduces First iPad Ethernet Adapters; Supports Gigabit Ethernet and Power Over Ethernet

Redpark Gigabit Ethernet Adapters are the first to connect iPad and iPhone to high-speed Gigabit Ethernet using Apple’s Lightning connector for iOS devices. Ideal for field technicians, kiosks, and point-of-sale (POS), users can connect to Ethernet while charging the device either from an AC power source or Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Redpark Product Development announced today that it is now shipping the first adapters that connect iPad to gigabit ethernet, the Gigabit + PoE Adapter and Gigabit + Power Adapter. These adapters allow iPad customers to connect to ethernet while simultaneously charging the device.
“While wireless networking meets the needs of most iPad users, there are times when it’s preferable to connect iPad to ethernet,” explained Redpark President Mike Ridenhour. “Customers who use iPad point of sale systems, wish to connect iPad to a company’s internal secure network, use iPad in education, or need to get online in poor wireless environments can use these adapters to connect iPad to ethernet.”

Redpark is offering two versions of this adapter, both of which are licensed under Apple’s Made for iPhone (MFi) program:
— The Gigabit + PoE Adapter(shown above) connects iPad to ethernet and uses power over ethernet (PoE) to charge the device via a single ethernet cable when connected to a PoE-capable Ethernet switch or PoE injector. It is a PoE (802.3af) Class 0 device, has an MSRP of $99 and is available today at http://www.redpark.com.
— The Gigabit + Power Adapter connects iPad to ethernet and uses an external AC power adapter to simultaneously charge the device. It has an MSRP of $99 and will be available in late September.
Each iPad ethernet adapter is a specialty form of USB 2.0 to Gigabit ethernet adapter. When connected to an iPad or iPhone running iOS 10 or later, the adapter is recognized as a network connection that can be configured in Settings on the device.

Both adapters connect to iPad via a replaceable Lightning to USB Micro-B cable, which allows iPad to be mounted or displayed in multiple ways. This cable is sold separately and can be obtained from Redpark or other MFi-licensed suppliers.

The part # is L6-NETPOE and the Gigabit + Power Adapter part # is L6-NETAC.

World’s First Xenon Flash For iPhones Lights Up Kickstarter – Doubling its Crowdfunding Goal by Making Smartphone Pics Look Like Professional Photos

The ability to capture extraordinary photos on smartphones is now easily obtainable and extremely affordable with the help of the brightest new smartphone addition, the Xenon Flash Shell.
After reaching its crowdfunding goal on the first day, backers have now helped double that total

with over $10,000 raised for this portable and lightweight attachable accessory, which delivers professional quality crisp, focused images by attaching it to iPhones and iPads.

“Our success on Kickstarter has happened as quick as a flash and we’re thrilled with the response, but this has been a result of years of hard work, research and development,” said iStabilizer CEO Noah Rasheta. “We are making pro-grade images attainable on phones by combining the convenience of a smartphone camera with a pocket-sized professional flash.”
Without Flash Shell, the low-light photography offered on a smartphone causes significant noise and grain in the photo. LED lighting is simply not strong enough to capture clear photos in low-light conditions. Flash Shell solves this problem:
While an iPhone camera flash is an LED, Flash Shell is Xenon, which produces a flash as much as one thousand times brighter than a standard camera phone LED flash. Kickstarter backers can get the Flash Shell starting at $55 and they can add accessories that include a SmartFlex Tripod, a Bluetooth Shutter Remote, and a Mini Standard Tripod.
Flash Shell is compatible with virtually all iPhones and iPads and it pairs to devices via Bluetooth. Parent company iStabilizer is in the process of developing the technology for Android as well and anticipates first quarter 2017 availability.
For early bird specials at nearly 50 percent below retail prices that will disappear in a flash, visit the Xenon Flash Campaign Pageon Kickstarter.
